About

Hello! My name is Harry Chong and I am currently a Senior at Drexel University pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering.

My study focuses on software development along with automation and machine learning through a cooperative education program with a Fortune 500 company and other internships. I am proficient in Python, Java, and C programming languages.

I am a detailed-oriented, ambitious, and committed engineer who strives to learn new approaches and technologies to write reliable, scalable, and maintainable software. With technology evolving every second and the endless possibilities and opportunities that the world offers, I strongly believe it is never too late to start learning and creating software to bring diverse changes to our lives and the world.

I have completed three cooperative education experiences. I have cooped with Comcast Corporation as a security software engineer to develop secured applications and scripts to enhance the current infrastructure. I continue to work part-time as a contractor with Comcast as of today.

I have also cooped with JobDiva, a global leader delivering an AI-powered SaaS solution to the staffing and recruiting industry. I was a quality assurance analyst and project manager and was responsible for managing, designing, and performing tests on software applications.

I have also interned with Drexel University’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering as a software research assistant to develop a web application to allow users to submit a trained model of convolution neural network and convert the model into a spiking neural network.

I am looking for a software engineering or related full-time position and am flexible about where I work after graduation. In particular, I am interested in software design and implementation as I want to continue to grow and build upon what I learned and experienced from my previous coops and internships to new opportunities!
